Hospital Policies

Thank you for choosing Central Animal Hospital for your pet care needs. We understand that vet visits can be stressful for both pets and pet parents, and we thank you in advance for adhering to our hospital policies.

  1. Allow 24 hours for prescription refills: Any prescriptions require a 24-hour notice for refills, so please plan accordingly. If required, we are able to fill an emergency prescription for a small fee. You can request a refill via telephone, email or the submission form on our website.
  2. Special orders and medications are non-refundable: Food, products, and medications ordered specifically for your pet cannot be returned or refunded, as they are not part of our regular inventory. This policy also applies to medications, including controlled drugs, in accordance with CVBC guidelines.
  3. Missed appointments: If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, we require 24 hours notice so that we can possibly treat a different patient in that Doctor’s schedule. In the event of a missed appointment without prior communication, please be aware that a charge equivalent to 50% of the missed exam fee may apply.
  4. Payment is due at time of service: We require payment at the time of each service and are not able to provide in-house payment plans. We are partnered with HUMM Financial which can aid with veterinary financing if you so require.
  5. Zero tolerance for verbal or physical abuse: While we understand that your visits can be stressful at times, we do not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards our team. Kindness is always appreciated.
  6. Leash and kennel policy: For all pets entering Central Animal Hospital, dogs require to be leashed, and cats require being in a kennel. We do have leashes at the front entrance if you require, and we may be able to provide a temporary kennel, although this is subject to availability due to limited inventory.
